A methodology under the aegis of AFNOR
Committed to a sustainable economy, the Association Française de Normalisation - AFNOR (established under French law 1901) oversees the French standardization system and works to create a common language and interoperability for sectors of excellence. It federates all those who want to advance in a given sector under the best possible conditions, and bring together the entire value chain around them. Together, they define the guiding principles of a business sector and draw up standards, which are shared and adopted on a voluntary basis. Every year, some 20,000 representatives of companies, associations, federations and the French government take part in this exercise in co-construction.
A vital tool in encouraging progress and promoting French innovation, AFNOR represents France in European (CEN-CENELEC) and international (ISO) standardization bodies.
To achieve this, the 120 experts in the working groups, under the responsibility of AFNOR Normalisation, have collectively drafted an AFNOR Spec, a reference document that will be used to build future ISO-type standards.
Access the AFNOR Spec 2215 reference document published in June 2023 HERE.
